Gallup:  Mitt Romney has reached an all time high of 42 percent in Gallup's daily tracking poll.  Romney sits at 42 percent, up three, while Santorum is down to 27 percent and Newt flirting with 11 percent.  With Romney's three point jump, he now has a 5 point lead on Santorum and Gingrich combined nationally.

Senate-National Journal: The National Journal has its monthly Senate rankings out on the seats most likely to flip.  Based off their numbers, the Republican odds of taking the Senate seem pretty realistic at this point.  They rank Nebraska, North Dakota, and Maine as the states most likely to flip.  Ranking Maine is not easy as its not clear what Independent Angus King will do.

Doheny: Matt Doheny thought he could deny the first set of bad pictures away, but now we got video of him being a naughty boy.  One must ask why New York politicians cannot behave themselves. 

PA-Legislature: Next week there will be debate and a likely vote on a constitutional amendment to cut the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by 50 seats.  This is the first vote needed in the process to amend the State Constitution.  It must also pass the Senate this year then be passed by both chambers again next session for it to appear on the ballot.  The bill appears to have broad bipartisan support.

So how many seats would be left in the PA house?
PA is on my personal list of states whose lower body is too big along with my home state of MO, but NH is top of my list.

Did anyone else? Definitely flirtatious behavior but not strictly cheating. The fiance should be a little upset though.

I mean really? Have the producers of TMZ taken over Washington? There is NOTHING on that tape other than a bunch of people who seem to have had a couple of drinks leaving an event. There is NOTHING sexual or inappropriate on that tape. And really who care? The guy is NOT MARRIED!!!! This is really nothing more than slander. Speak about the politics of personal destruction. Apparently a single non-married politician leaving a public event where people had a few drinks is now a scandal. Give me a freak'n break!

What looks lame to someone in NYC can be a narrative in the North Country, of someone who is unfaithful to his fiance, who parties like a frat boy in big cities, who boats while drunk, who isn't a kindly grandfather (like Bill Owens), etc.

We can debate about the ethics of engaged men flirting and being that close and touchy with other women, but regardless we know it happened.

That's the crazy part. There is nothing on that video that is scandalous. All you see is a bunch of people who had a few drinks leaving a bar. NO SEXUAL contact. NO inappropriate behavior. Its insane. They basically took a bunch of pictures and concocted a made up story around it. This whole story is really a new low. They are basically slandering this guy over nothing. This whole story is a disgrace on the media outlets who are covering it.

I personally don't care what people do in their own lives (Unless its a direct contradiction of what they preach in politics).

I also doubt it will hurt him much.

Most people dont know who he is and his introduction to the people of his district is being done through the lens of this bogus hit job story. Thats why this is politics of personal destruction and a pretty good frame job.

Topeka Map Rejected by Kansas Senate
Kansas gets the award for
the biggest fail of redistricting this cycle. It's amazing that a state with only 4 districts to draw and a process completely controlled by one party can't get it done. Everybody seems to want something perfect, and it isn't there.

Since the KS house now says its not going to approve the KS senate map until they come to an agreement on the congressional seats.

I think what your looking at if it goes to KS Supreme Court map is:

Congressional: A least change map, retaining those features in #1 & #2 that keep both of them in the playing field.

Senate: Here the KS Supreme Court might just decide to adopt the Senate passed Senate map as is. They could cite long history in Kansas of both chambers normally pass each others map with no changes if they wish to wash their hands of this really quickly.
